Thought of You

I found this beautiful piece of art just few minutes ago.

Thought of You  by Ryan Woodward

"The birth of “Thought of You” came from my desire
to unite several of my passions into one art piece.
Figurative works, 2d animation, EFX animation, and contemporary dance.
Put all three of these forms together to support a theme centered around
the complexities of intimate relationships and whalaa,
“Thought of You” is born.
Rather than creating a narrative animated piece that communicates
a well defined story, this piece allows for each individual who views it
to experience something unique and personal
that touches their own sensibilities."

This is also interesting:

The Cure

"Do you know a cure for me?"
"Why yes," he said, "I know a cure for everything. Salt water."
"Salt water?" I asked him.
"Yes," he said, "in one way or the other. Sweat, or tears, or the salt sea."

Karen Blixen / Isak Dinesen, 'The Deluge at Norderney' - 'Seven Gothic Tales', 1934

Karen von Blixen-Finecke (1885-1962) was a Danish author; born Karen Christence Dinesen,
she is also known under her pen name Isak Dinesen. She is best known for 'Out of Africa'.

I have posted this quote before, I think.
I am posting it again, because it is the one I really love and keep on my wall.
It reminds me over and over again about the importance of crying,
enjoying the sea and moving until you sweat.
Those really are the simple cures for many sorrows. For me, at least.

Seaside Romance

Seaside Romance

I read in the paper today
It’s been a record year for rainfall
And you were leaning against the bathroom wall
In your lonely dress
Was your only dress

Stand accusing across
I’ve got a temper set for tender
And you were shrugging it off like a feather
Saying, “Oh, would you look at this weather?”

What’s the use of all of this?
It’s to remember you in the entire
Because I’m watching it slip away

And in the annals of the Empire
Did it look this gray?

Before the fall

Before the fall

There is something very familiar to me in all of this.

The Wonder

La meraviglia dell'ignoranza è figlia e madre del Sapere.

- Temistocle

The wonder is the daughter of ignorance and the mother of knowledge.

Late 19th-century French artist Antoine Bouguereau's painting "Biblis".

In the Fall

“You expected to be sad in the fall.
Part of you died each year when the leaves fell
from the trees and their branches were bare
against the wind and the cold, wintery light.
But you knew there would always be the spring,
as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen.
When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring,
it was as though a young person died for no reason.”

Autumn Wish

“Listen! The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”
- Humbert Wolfe

Still by the sea... Every day.
